Silver Coins & Ingots
American Silver Eagles, U.S. 90% Silver Coin, .999 Silver Bars

U.S. 90% Silver Coins (.9000 Fine, net .715 oz silver) - U.S. 90% Silver Coins are traded by face value, with a standard $1000 face value bag containing a net 715+ troy ounces of silver. Consisting of dimes, quarters, or half dollars dated 1964 or earlier, U.S. 90% Silver has regularly traded at some discount to its bullion value. However, with the current shortage of supply in the physical silver market, the premium currently ranges from $1.75 to $2.50 per net ounce on the wholesale market.

American Silver Eagles (.9993 Fine, net 1 oz silver) - American Silver Eagles have been minted in both uncirculated and proof formats since 1986. While the uncirculated versions were initially sold as bullion coins and the proofs targeted at collectors, both versions have developed a collector following. Additionally, U.S. Mint production has lagged demand. Short supply and increased collector demand have combined to push premiums for American Silver Eagles to the highest among the popular silver bullion issues, at $3.50 to $4.00 per ounce over spot silver on the wholesale market.

Canada Silver Maple Leafs (.9999 Fine 1 oz) -

.999 Silver Bars (.999+ Fine) - Engelhard and Johnson Matthey are the most well known brands for silver bars, yet these older bars are in very short supply. New Johnson Matthey bars are now in production yet supply lags demand, with delivery dates of over 30 days. Premiums for 100 oz bars have historically traded at either side of flat, yet current wholesale premiums have climbed to over $1.25 per ounce. Even in light of their historically high premium, name brand 100 oz silver bars continue to be the best buys in the silver bullion market.
