Platinum Coins & Ingots
BEST BUY: Canadian Platinum Maple Leafs, PAMP Suisse 1oz .9995 Platinum Ingot

American Platinum Eagle (.9995 Fine, 1 Troy Ounce Platinum) - American Platinum Eagles have been minted every year since 1997, however none have yet been minted for 2009. With strong demand and no current production, Platinum Eagles have developed a high collector premium, with the current wholesale market hovering around $200 per ounce over spot platinum.

Canada Platinum Maple Leaf (.9995 Fine, 1 Troy Ounce Platinum) - Canadian Platinum Maple Leafs were first minted in 1988, however production has been limited for 2009. The strong demand for platinum bullion combined with limited availability of both coins and ingots has led to strong premiums across the board. However, even with wholesale premiums of around $80 per ounce, Platinum Maple Leafs remain one of the best buys in the platinum Market.

PAMP Suisse Ingot (.9995 Fine, 1 Troy Ounce Platinum) - Pamp Suisse Ingots are currently produced in a variety of sizes from the tiny 1 gram ingots up to 6 kilogram bars. The size that we are concerned with is the 1 oz ingots, which are offered in an "assay card" for protection, storage, and easy trading. The 1 oz PAMP bars have recently been available on a sporadic basis, and are currently in limited supply.
