1907-O Barber Half Dollar
Mint State-66 (PCGS)
Ex Eliasberg, Hugon
Richly lustrous with bright amber and violet toning, slightly irridescent, with speckles of blue. Some thin contact lines graze Liberty's cheek, but are well camouflaged by the toning. 1907-O is well noted as having one of the poorest strikes of the Barber Half Dollar series. However, this example is significantly better than most, with a bold strike in all but the finest central feather details.
PCGS reports six 1907-O Halves graded MS-66, with one MS-67 better, currently residing in the collection of Dr. Steven Duckor.
