1910 Barber Dime, Mint State 67+ (PCGS/SP)
Ex Hugon, Vivid Multicolored Peripheral Toning

Superbly toned, with faint blue-white centers framed in a broad band of orange, bright red, vivid green and amber about the rims. The luster is shimmering and original, with a fine hairline scratch on Liberty's cheek and a shallow graze on her chin the only noticeable disturbances. Near fully struck, as there are only a few cereal grains near the top of the reverse wreath that lack their finest details. Whether for date or type, this is a truly exceptional Mint State Barber Dime.

PCGS has certified only this 1910 Dime as MS67+, with a single MS68+ finer.

Provenance:

  • John C. Hugon (Heritage 1/2005: lot 4058 @ $7,188 as PCGS MS67)

$ 8,900
