1820 Capped Bust Half Dollar, Mint State-65 (PCGS)
Overton 107, Rare "No Serifs" Reverse, Finest Known

Overton 107 - Large, close date, 2 with squared base and no knob. Inner point of star 7 near the front of Liberty's cap, just above the upper edge of her headband. Reverse with A's missing lower right serifs and no serifs on E's. (Rarity 5).

DESC

This is one of only two 1820 "No Serifs" Half Dollars certified by PCGS, the other a lowly VF. Previously certified by NGC as MS-66, this coin is also at the top of their census, followed by a MS-61, AU-58, AU-50, and three VFs. Clearly and unquestionably the finest known of this rare variety.
