1824/2 Capped Bust Quarter Dollar, About Unc.-55 (PCGS)
Browning 1

Browning 1 - Overdate with 82 repunched, and 4 punched over a prior 2. Traces of the under digit barely show above left and below. (Rarity 3). This is the only known die marriage for the date.

This is a pleasing AU with ample remaining luster throughout the fields. There are no significant contact marks, as small ticks under Liberty's chin and on her neck left of the center dot may barely help as pedigree markers. There is a little more high point wear that I would like to see on an AU-55, yet the toning is overwhelming, with bright shades of blue, green, yellow and amber dominant.

PCGS has certified only this AU-55, with a single AU-58 and MS-64 finer.
