1795 Liberty Cap 1c, Plain Edge, MS65BN (PCGS)
Sheldon 76B, Finest Known 1795 Plain Edge, Noyes Plate Coin

Sheldon 76B - Top of 5 partially embedded in Liberty's bust; reverse with ONE CENT high, and both wreath branches terminating in single leaves at top. Plain edge. (Rarity 1)

Fully lustrous and beautiful reddish tan in color. Identifiable by two nicks on Liberty's forehead and some minor flan roughness across the tip of the bust.

This is the Finest Known example of Sheldon 76B, atop the William Noyes Condition Census as "MS65, Choice". Additionally, as no other 1795 Plain Edge Cents are listed by Noyes as "MS65", this is arguably the the Finest Known 1795 Plain Edge, regardless of variety.
