1848 Liberty Seated Dime, Proof-65 (PCGS)
Rare Proof, Est. 8 - 10 Known, PCGS Pop. 2/0

Fortin 103 - Very high date with 18 touching the base, then 4 and 8 sloping downward. 1 repunched. Die chips about stars 3-4-5-6.

Fully struck in bold relief, as we should expect from an ultra low mintage Proof, and with a strong wire rim on the obverse from star 2 clockwise to star 12. The toning is rich and exceptional, mostly vivid blue and green overall but for violet and amber about the center obverse. Fine hairlines set the grade, with a nearly vertical line in the right obverse field below Liberty's cap the most prominent.
